The NSSA student prize is awarded for excellent research using neutrons forming part of a student thesis. The award consists of a certificate, plaque, and $500. The 2008 prize will be awarded for work presented at the ACNS meeting. If you are interested in being considered for this award please indicate this on your abstract submission.

The Prize conditions are as follows:

  • The presenter must be a graduate student, or within two years of their Ph.D graduation
  • The work must be part of Ph.D or M.S. thesis research where neutron scattering or neutron science played a significant role
  • The work must be presented at the ACNS as a poster submission
  • The presenter performed the majority of the actual neutron scattering work
